Mama, I've been thinking about life

Mama, I've been thinking about life

When I was young

I thought everyone would grow old

I thought life was good for everyone

Now I know, life isn't fair for all

Children live in hunger and are slaves

War takes their life when they are too young

Fear is their norm, and we hide when they call

Mama, this is not fair

Mama, I wasn't aware of this.

But the leaders of this world hide in bunkers while sending our sons to wars to die.

I don't know if I can live in this hopeless pit

If leaders' children hide while our sons fight

Mama, this is not fair

I don't like the way the leaders think

I don't want my only son to die for the elite

I don't want him to see bodies lying at his feet

Mama, prayers are what we need

Pray to God to save my sweet son

And ask the lord to save the leader's lost soul
